MVISD OFFICIAL ATTENDANCE-TAKING TIME
The district will take official attendance every day at 10:05 a.m on all campuses.
TEXAS EDUCATION CODE SEC 25.092
Minimum Attendance for Class Credit or Final Grade. (a) Except as provided by this section, a student in any grade level from kindergarten through grade 12 may not be given credit or a final grade for a class unless the student is in attendance for at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. Please note that the 10 percent of absences including both Excused and Unexcused.
Schools in Texas are funded based on student attendance, not enrollment. State withholds funding to Medina Valley ISD for each day the student is absent from school.
