Information for Parents & Guardians

Routes, bus stop times & locations, and attendance zones are subject to change at any time.

Eligibility:
  • Bus route assignments are based on the student’s current home address, as verified in the Skyward Family Access system.
  • Address changes must be made in person at the student's school campus. Proof of residence is required. (Address changes may not be made by the Transportation Department.)
  • Students who live within their designated attendance zones, but more than two miles from their assigned campuses, are eligible for transportation.
  • To view attendance zones, please visit:  https://apps.myplanware.com/schoolsearch/medinavalley.
  • Students who attend a campus under an “approved transfer” are not eligible for transportation services.
Registration:
  • Transportation registration is required every school year, for both new and returning students.
  • Early registration for the 2024-2025 academic school year closed on July 8, 2024.
  • If your child is not yet registered, please do so by clicking the “2024-2025 Transportation Registration” button above.
  • Please allow up to five business days for registration processing.
  • After registering, download the My Ride K-12 app, which is available at Google Play and the App Store.
My Ride K-12:
  • Beginning August 6, 2024, keep an eye on the My Ride K-12 app for access to bus numbers, stop times & locations, bus delay notifications, route changes, and other important information.
  • Using the onboard card reader, students will scan their IDs as they board and exit the bus.
  • Timestamped scans will be viewable by the primary My Ride K-12 user.
  • Using the app, the primary user may “share” access with additional users.
Ridership:
  • While on a bus or at a designated bus stop, students must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct, the Student Transportation Rules & Regulations*, and the Bus Safety Diagram**.
  • Nonadherence may result in corrective action, up to and including bus and/or school suspension.
  • Seating is assigned by the Transportation Department, and may be changed at any time.
  • To accommodate as many riders as possible, some students will be placed three-to-a-seat.
  • Seatbelts on equipped buses shall be worn.
  • For the safety and security of riders, most MVISD buses are equipped with cameras.
