Medina Valley ISD is the fifth fastest growing School District in the state growing between 10 to 15% each school year with this growth our community has approved 2 recent Bond proposals 1 in May 2023 and 1 in May 2024 we hope this video series helps to keep you updated on the progress of those Bond projects so that you can see your bond dollars at work this school year we opened our 6 Elementary School silos Elementary this was the final project that was a part of bond 2019 and it has opened with an overwhelming amount of support and excitement from our families and Community nbisd will open our second High School in Fall 2026 the opening of this campus will help alleviate capacity issues at our current High School this project is well underway and close to 30% completion you can see exterior walls framing concrete beams and Roofing being installed throughout the structure internally electrical and plumbing is also being installed you can really start to see the campus layout about taking shape as our construction crews are working hard day in and day out the same construction team that is working on high school too also led the drive Improvement project at neighboring Campus petronko Elementary this project was unveiled at the start of the school year and has helped to alleviate traffic on Potranco Road it's allowed more room for cars to line up for pickup and drop off on our queueing lane and off of the main roadways security cameras are currently being updated at campuses throughout the district some are updating to a new system while other campuses are receiving additional cameras door access control is also being implemented at all district facilities we are currently conducting walkthroughs and will Begin work in the next few months with anticipated districtwide completion by summer the district has also continued to purchase land for future campuses over the last 6 months we have closed on 4 pieces of property off of Montgomery Road South of Luckey Ranch we now own around 50 acres where we plan to build Middle School Number 3 and a future Elementary campus we also have closed on 3 Elementary sites 1 in the preserved caliber subdivision off of calibra between 211 and Talley Road another off of grossenbacher Road near Briggs Ranch and the Third near the intersection of fm471 and fm12 83 the district Works closely with the demographer and real estate broker to identify properties in areas where future campuses are projected to be needed at Medina Valley High School design on the new Agricultural and Junior ROTC building is currently underway we anticipate breaking ground on this project this spring and to have the project completed by Fall 2026 if you would like more detailed updates on these projects please tune in to our board meetings that are live streamed on YouTube
