Action: Adopted a resolution declaring a vacancy for Single Member District #1 and approved an appointment method to fill the vacancy. The board will accept applications and interview to determine who will be appointed to this position.
Purpose: Due to no candidates running for Single Member District #1, there is a vacancy on the school board and the board had to determine what action to take to fill that vacancy. The application will be shared in the near future for those interested in serving as a board member for Single Member District #1.
Outgoing board members Beth Zinsmeyer (Single Member District #2) and Veronica Cavazos (Single Member District #1) were recognized for their service to MVISD. Newly sworn-in board member, Joe Biediger (Single Member District #2) took his seat at the dais.
