Potranco Elementary students who participate in academic UIL activities were recognized as Star Students at the Medina Valley ISD school board meeting September 25. Their sponsor Kristi Smith was honored for always going above and beyond for her students.
The Board of Trustees and attendees also learned about the community service efforts of Medina Valley High School senior Manuel "Manny" Ramirez, which led him to earn the State Board of Education 2023 Student Heroes Award. Only 15 students statewide receive this recognition.
