About Dr. Rohrbach

A native of D’Hanis, Dr. Kenneth Rohrbach assumed the role of superintendent of Medina Valley ISD on January 4, 2016. Prior to taking the position at Medina Valley, Dr. Rohrbach had been superintendent of Three Rivers ISD for 5 ½ years and was principal at Three River High School the preceding 10 years. He began his career as a math teacher and administrator at Dell City ISD near El Paso. He is in his 25th year in public education.

Dr. Rohrbach earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University in 1991. He went on to earn his Masters of Education degree in School Administration from Sul Ross State University in 1999 and a Doctor of Education degree from Lamar University in 2015. Dr. Rohrbach’s doctoral research focused on superintendent and school board communication.

In addition to his administrative duties, Dr. Rohrbach has coached high school speech and debate for 23 years. His students have earned two UIL individual state championships, numerous UIL state individual silver medals, along with a UIL regional speech team championship, and a UIL state speech runner-up team. Additionally, he has had numerous students qualify to the National Speech and Debate Association national tournament.
