Sandy Hamilton-March, “EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH”
Medina Valley I.S.D Middle School
teacher, Sandy Hamilton, has been named as the March, “Employee of the
Month.” During the month of March, the District honors a middle school
teacher as the top employee. She was selected for this award based on
her tireless dedication to the students. Vice Principal. Julie Center,
said “Mrs. Hamilton is a humble individual. Her days are spent going
from classroom to classroom ensuring that students with special needs
get the individual help they deserve.” Mrs. Hamilton is often found
before and after school hours working 1 on 1 with students and she is a
great motivator. She has a way of working with students to make sure
that they can feel success.
Mrs. Hamilton has been teaching at
Medina Valley I.S.D for two years, but has a total of 18 years as a
teacher. Previously she has taught high school algebra and home
economics. Because of her hard work and dedication, one of her students
who had yet to experience success with the state passed for the first
time. This was one of the highlights of Mrs. Hamilton’s career. Mrs.
Hamilton has impacted students far beyond her expectations when a former
student became a teacher because of her experience in Mrs. Hamilton’s
class. Mrs. Hamilton became a special education teacher because of her
experience with the special needs students she has encountered
throughout the years of teaching and through personal experiences of
having a special need child.
Medina Valley I.S.D is very proud to
have Sandy Hamilton as part of the district representing the best of
what we have to offer our children and our community. Congratulations
and Thank You for all you do!
