BPA Students Advance to Nationals

Twenty-eight state qualifiers from Medina Valley High School attended the Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference in Dallas, March 4-7.  They joined over 2,700 other students from across the state to compete and grow in their leadership skills.

Three students qualified to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA, May 6-10, including Heath Clary who took first place in Legal Office Procedures, Tristian Hough who placed 2nd in Integrated Office Applications, and Taylor Tschirhart who finished 5th in Fundamental Word Processing.

Several students placed as National alternates, including: Maycee Tschirhart, 7th, Interview Skills; the Administrative Support Team of Cody Burris, Claire DeGannes, Tristian Hough, and Katelyn Smith placing 4th; as well as, the Computer Animation Team consisting of Angelo Guerrero, Nicole Rater, and Michael Schneider who also placed 4th.

Heath Clary also received a $750 Texas BPA Scholarship.

Also competing were Anna Claire Beasley, Kirsten Benke, Carley Blake, Joel Casanova, Taylor Conkle, Kayla Cummings, KyLee DeCock, Kayla Essary, Catherine Etter, Anthony Garriga, Phillip Hecker, Noah Keller, Kendall Lagleder, James Masters, Shane Sargeant, Travis Smith, Ashleigh Thoele, and Kymberlyn Tschirhart.
